What Are We? "Consciousness" Canvas Print

"Consciousness" is Ibarra's 4th oil painting to date. During the creation of this piece Ibarra found herself questioning her entire existence. Questioning the reason for life, and questioning why we come to be. With deep introspection, Ibarra channeled the feeling of oblivion to create this painting. There is a man in the middle of the piece seeming to fade, this represents the same way we come to life and fade away when our time on earth is finished. Ibarra merged the background scene into his Crown chakra, symbolic of how we are more than the flesh or the life we see externally. We are, in fact, Consciousness experiencing itself.
