Motherland Original Canvas

"Motherland" is one of Ibarra's first oil paintings created. In tribute of celebrating "Juneteenth" you see a woman laying in the mountains in connection to the land. The boat represents the atrocities faced by thousands of slaves upon travel to the US. There is symbolism of her being free and one within the land her ancestors once crossed to achieve that freedom.
