Incorporating a dream state, this painting represents a rebirth of myself. For a long period of my life i was seeking to find a feeling of fullness that was never present. Seeking a happiness that seemed so far away because of battles with looking back into the past, or past versions of me. I painted myself - my own body naked to represent the vulnerability i was feeling at the time. Wishing upon paper cranes that were held by other people without feeling freedom as myself. I Just Want You To Feel Free depicts an essence of understanding that although my head might've been in the clouds, and things might've not been as clear as i wanted them to be i was more focused than ever on shedding old skin to grow into a new version of myself.
