"Connected" is a painting made with acrylics, created in 2022 as a part of her "Yin-Yang Collection." Opposite to the painting "Disconnected" - "Connected" is symbolic of becoming one with life and having deep hope in appreciation for all that surrounds us. Ibarra painted herself once more, to tie in the union of both pieces that create the "Yin-Yang Collection. She wrote the poem below:
connected
gratitude
filling every ounce of my bones
sitting still with it all
finding beauty around me
the way the grass moves in the wind
the trees comfort me
i’ve come here before
growing
transitioning
like the caterpillar wants to stay the same
but the butterfly is saying go
this is the way
a feeling of laugher in the air
joy painted on my face
coming to my knees
taking seconds to sit in the warmth
meditating
finding myself again
i am thankful to be here
i tell the earth
the sun smiles at me
she sees me
there is bliss in the present
through the highs
through the lows
life is a balance
and for it all
i sit in gratitude
